i saw their demonstration in Geant stores on Khurais road, features are nice, and i asked the specification to the guys, they couldnot answer me. It is not sure that this receiver is using Linux OS or its own firmware and also it can be de-scremble the protected channels or not.
If it is using Linux os like Dreambox and can use 3rd party plugins then it can beat Dreambox but no price idea yet.

I see it as a great achievement with dual tuners like most of us have always wanted, plus records must be on hard disk.
Anybody who is using it can tell us about it, and the costs if possible.

twin tuner, mp3 player, pvr, telephone caller id, modem, ethernet ports (which enables you to browse the internet right from the box if connected to a router). really good device. we need more info for this box. maybe you can call them direct from these contact details for the specifics.

they people suck, mostly lines are busy and if not they dont attend the phones, mostly are saudis (didnot tried in dubai) and can't speak english well and can not answer properly.
but from their website, they have the latest firmware over there, which means, the receiver is not a Linux based but the firmware may support Keys adding to decrypt hacked channels. Somebody have to try this product. Price idea is arround 1500 saudi riyals/uae dirham.

Yep the specifications could be right.
I've got this one, purchased at SR 999 as a promo during the soccer world cup.
Picture is generally dull compared to my Sky1a receiver.
    80GB hard drive.
Just downloaded the latest firmware on to my flash & plugged it to the back of the receiver to upgrade it, this system is very good to me as I have given up, trying to upgrade with my laptop for my Sky with rs232 to USB.
Has two CI slots so I could use my card.
OS software is not really good too clumsy & not simple.

Would really love to turn it to dreambox, but how to save the existing software

Wireless keyboard for browsing, thats cool at that price I guess.
Drawback cannot input keys to de scramble pay channels

True, but I believe you can convert it into Dreambox. The remote control will work but I do not know about the keybord and I think it will work because the machine also saw specifications correspond with Dreambox 7025, which is the same plate switches You can be sure of that visit their website. ( That told me that there had been modernized in the Drembks 7025) and the price of dreambox we have 533 dollars, while the price of this $ 294

Open this link and see Its look like the same keybord http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/en...s_keyboard.php

Smile Should I buy one ? What say ?

Hi - I got an offer for a Selevision box now -- Anyone who has used it can help me out here . Does it have an auto-update feature ( from the internet ) to access scrambled channels ? Can we access all the PERMISSABLE sites as in a normal PC ? Can we connect any 2 satellites thru it ? Or is it that we should tune into Nilesat only ? Also , does the set come with a router for internet access or should we get one ? Pls help guys = My regards to all - I am new to this forum .And what is this conversion to Dreambox ? How can that be done ? What are the additional benefits there ? Where are the support centres for Selevision in Dubai ?Thanks a lot ....
