Problem : for some reason I can't key in the last group (B4 for the 1st line) ?
Do you know how to bypass this ?

other question : what is an AES key and how can I key it in my besat ?

Thank you for your help !

I copy from another board so I can NOT take credit...it goes to a JohanK. but it explains in layman terms a little about AES...

AES is an extra coding-layer that is used in combination with newest Viaccess versions.
How it works? Well compaire it with a Zipp-file.
You have to unzip such a zipp-file first, and then to install it.
On installing, you see that it kind of unpacks itself again.
Working program is bigger then the install-file.

    Same with AES key,
first coded in viaccess and then that file is coded again with AES-methode.
Now many receiver can not decode the AES-methode because they miss(ed) the routine for AES (Older firmware, and AES is relative new methode).
And on many machine with update FW there's no room enough to bild in AES routine still. This also because many older firmware nows only how to handle short 8 byte codes. And AES-k**s are 16 byte codes.

But some machine and surtainly many cams are able to unreveal the AES-methode, and are able to handle 16 byte codes

So now if you find somewhere such a key on the internet, most of the time the AES layer is allready remove.
Infact you see the even without viaccess coding, while it's giving in normall numbers (decimal) or in hexadecimal
form and yes in 16 bytes.
The name AES still hangs on it to tell where it came from, so some people now they have to handle it different from other k**s on their machines. And the way how to handle it differs from machine to machine.
And can even differ from provider to provider.
So one allways have to check with the experst how it should be handled on ones own machine

if you have besat and is using DS/MTG/MTG-DS software, then go to menu/edit key/edit key and press the EPG button until you get to the viaacess part, look for 07c00 TPS AES and edit the two lines. www.********.com has the software (from DENNY) to enable you to edit the TPS keys.

Default Besat receiver and Keys (AES and others)

boknoy_ph : Thank you for your answer

The problem is that I cannot key in AES keys in my besat receiver... or so I think.
When I go in the key edit menu, I select [Viacess->Mediaguard ABSAT] with the EPG button.
Then I see the list of codes in this format for 07c00 :

    009 07c00 Key8 08 AF AA 50 AC BB D8 26 3B
    010 07c00 Key8 09 20 15 E1 76 3F E9 ED 27
    011 07c00 Key8 0A 1A A9 57 22 DA 22 22 AA
    012 07c00 Key8 0B 4F C0 61 86 E4 8C 35 7C
    013 07c00 Key8 0C 8A 00 CB 94 FB 8A 49 2D
    014 07c00 Key8 0D 12 4B 6C 81 86 1E 02 B3
    015 07c00 Key8 0E CE 2F 7E BA 0A A4 DD 51

IN http://www.********.com/viaccess.php, the codes to use for TPS are

    08 BB 75 58 C5 7F A8 30 B4
    remote 187 117 088 197 127 168 048 180

    08-0 99 0E 66 79 DA 5F C5 E1
    remote 153 014 102 121 218 095 197 225

    08-1 48 A5 9B AE 2A E7 51 AF
    remote 072 165 155 174 042 231 081 175

    1.04 new AES KEY :
    remote 99 0E 66 79 DA 5F C5 E1 48 A5 9B AE 2A E7 51 AF

    Questions:

    1)
When I want to change the line 08, my receiver does not want to save my changes... I tried to delete the line 08 and then add it. But again the receiver did not save the new line.
Do you know how to have my receiver save my modifications ?

    2)
Then I wanted to key in the AES key but where can I do that, there is not enough room for all the codes...
Do you know how to enter the AES key in my besat ?

    3)
" www.********.com has the software (from DENNY) to enable you to edit the TPS keys."
I can't find this software... ? Can you tell me exactly where to find it please ?

Can you help me please ?

    Tanis
