Did you erase it first (erase all)? After programming, did you initialise the CAM on a Free To Air channel?

you should try different MR file versions, if that 1180 does not work (even there are avaialable MRB/MreV files that work for MR also). anyway, here is a short tip for you to update and modify your MR. good luck.

There are two ways to program your cam, with Xilinx options to Convert and whitout Xilinx options for Updating (recommended),
f.i. Mr1130.bin runs on MM without changing Magic.cas to matrix.cas

Basically programming is broken down into different parts when you have to change the Xilinx software, the OS of the system.

    CONVERTING ANY CAM INTO ANOTHER
using the “Wizard” on the right hand of the menu.

    1. Click "Wizard"
    2. Click "Select type of CAM:"
Select the right one from the menu
    3. Click "Flash File:"
Select wanted *.bin, f.i. Mr1.130.bin from JKF Intersat Forum, Mr/Mrev Sticky: Mr1130
    4. Click “Xilinx File”
Select wanted *.cas, f.i. matrix.cas for Matrix etc. from JKF Intersat Forum, Mr/Mrev Sticky: Mr-XILINX
    4. Click "Next>>"
    5.Click "Connect"
The Xilinx version will be displayed
    6. Click “Next>>” you can’t if you did not do no.5.
    7. Click “Write”
    After message “Device programmed successfully!”
    8. Click “OK”
9.Click “Connect” under “Flash Functions” to initialize
In top window “Cam Connected” is being displayed with info
    10. After completion remove cam from CAS2.
    11. DONE.
