    Default How To Setup A Windows Pc As A Cardserver With Newcs

    Hi all
    This is a small guide on how to setup a windows based pc as a cardServer with NewCS
    Aftre of a lot of search on the net for cs(cardsharing) i found a lot of info about this but only for linux based pc.
    Nothing about cs and cardserver with a windows based pc.
    this is a newbie guide to CARDSHARING with pc as a server
    So here is how to setup a win based pc as a Cardserver

    What You need:

    Hardware
    a) A pc capable of running Windows XP or Windows 2000 with
    1 network card
    1 serial port
    (memory and disk its not importand...for cardsharing)

    cool.gif A serial card reader
    c) a dsl connection (if you want to share your cards with others)

    Software

    a) Newcs 1.13 (in the atached file)
    cool.gif NewcsGui (a gui interface for the NewCS server)
    (a and b files are incuded in the atach. zip file)
    c) An clean text editor (like ultraedit)

    Unzip the files in a directory
    Edit the configuration file newcs.xml
    1. find the line <node>COM2</node>
    and put your com port where the cardreader its connected to yout pc
    2. in the line <udp_host>192.168.0.101</udp_host> put your pc ip address
    3. in the <newcamdserver> section find the line <name>yourservername</name>
    and put you cardserver name.
    4. in user section put user name and pass
    save the file

    Now you are ready to run your server

    Run the program newcsgui.exe and your server its ready
    You can see any server activity in the file logfile.txt

    Now your client can connect to the server using newcamd or mgcamd emu in port 10001 (default)

    For wan connection you have to setup your router to forward all traffic in port 10001 to the pc's ip

    Thats all you are UP and Running

    Colossus

    Transfer the now how

    ps: i cant upload the files..... download link

    Hi m8

    This is tested whith dreambox and DVB cards on pc.

    i dont have a humax to test this one ..but if the box can use softcams (newcamd-mgcamd-evocamd) then ..yes it will work.

    Just edit the softcam configuration files.

    Default Wrong server DESKEY or PROTOCOL from a PC-Newcs server

    Hi all gurus,
    I get the error in title when trying to connect from WinCSC to NewCs, about from 10 days ago, while 1st setup and use was flawlessy. I'm currently using DVBViewer with Ncemucam, that's a little annoying for the need to enable after every channel change.
    I've tried to use emunation, with the same result.

    newcs console shows, when started,:

    [Loader] Init NDS Card
    .......
    [Keyman] Adding key xxxxxx type 0 on Provider 000000 for caid 0919 ID=0
    [Keyman] Adding key xxxxxx type 1 on Provider 000000 for caid 0919 ID=0
    [Loader] Card 0919 on port COM1 ready
    [Loader] Starting Newcamd Server on port 15050

    as soon as I change to a channel crypted with NDS, I get:

    [Newcamd:15050] Connection from 127.0.0.1
    [Newcamd:15050] Can't decrypt client msg, rejecting!

    while an attempt to force login to server leads to:

    [Newcamd:15050] Connection from 127.0.0.1
    [Newcamd:15050]User dummy logged in, client: Generic
    [Newcamd:15050]Connection from dummy to not-ready server!

    and on WinCsc monitor:

    Login ERR to NCD Server [ newcs:15050 ]: Wrong server DESKEY or PROTOCOL

    I've double-checked protocol (Newcamd 5.25) and DES Key (14....01).
    A test with emunation got same results, even if emunation consolle shows, of course, different messages:

    cc-newcamd: now using protocol version 525 (cdLen=
    cc: hostname=localhost port=15050 emm=1 emmCaids 0919/0000
    cc-newcamd: username=... password=... key=14...01
    netwatch: up
    Netwatcher thread started (tid=28328736)
    socket=connecting to localhost:15050/tcp (127.0.0.1)
    cc-newcamd: bad length 0 != 2 on message length read
    cc-newcamd: failed to login to cardserver for username dummy (prot 525)

    then the same with protocol 520 (cdLen = 4).

    Pls some1 help me, eternal gratitude promised!

    CAS 3 will work fine so does the Dynamite plus but do not use for Seca Cards only 3.57 MHZ mode otherwise you will overclock the card and no key updates .

    You guys be carefull now with Windows and Newcs make sure u disable AU or the Providers will kill your cards thats for sure .

    wrong des key hehehe make sure yr default 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
    u can make it anything u want really but make sure it does match also in the clients config
    or you will get that messege also look in the xml for server name anything u want really but it also must match in clients config

    Also server name must go after des key

    EX server name = mydumserver

    01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 mydumserver

    Default re NEWCS n Windows

    In this document we describe the installation and configuration steps for a NewCS cardserver system. You will need the following software / hardware components for a successful installation:
    Linux or Windows XP host (preferred a newer RedHat or any new system) Cardreader hardwareAn active serial portNewCS archive; You can download it from our site
    When everything is ready, follow this step-by-step setup procedure:

    Installing the server on a Linux system
    Decompress the NewCS archive; You will find various executables in bin directory. We will need only one file for our Intel-based system. It is a newcs.x86. So copy it to your Linux host using FTP. The preferred location varies from system to system. It is usually
    /usr/local/bin
    Copy the configuration (newcs.xml.phoenix) file into:
    /var/tuxbox/config
    Rename this file to
    newcs.xml
    Now, we can start the NewCS server! But wait a moment! It need libcrypto.so.0.9.7! On some systems it is not available in this naming, but check the /lib directory on your system. If you can find a libcrypto.so.0.9.7a or libcrypto.so.0.9.7b or similar file, soft-link to the name we require:
    ln /lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7a /lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7
    Now, will have a required library name in /libs directory. We can start the NewCS server.
    Type its name and press enter:
    newcs
    If You are in currently in a directory where NewCS is installed, type this:
    ./newcs
    If it is running, it will write informations to the screen like this:
    [[email protected] root]# newcs
    Reading Config file /var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml
    level: normal
    type: init
    output: all
    logger config: level 1 type 3 output 255
    log file:
    logger: cant open file , file log disabled
    udp log: host 192.168.1.10 port 1000
    tcp port: 3001

    [ 20:14:50 ] [ Loader ] Unknown card
    [ 20:14:50 ] [ NewCS ] Ready to GO! Smile

    Ok! Now, find the NewCS process and kill it:
    [[email protected] root]# ps ax|grep newcs
    1871 pts/2 S 0:00 newcs
    1875 pts/2 S 0:00 grep newcs
    The process id is 1871, so use the kill comand with this number as its parameter:
    [[email protected] root]# kill 1871
    Always be sure you are running only a ONE INSTANCE from a NewCS server! Use ps ax | grep newcs command to do this. If You need multiple instances, create configuration files for every instance, and start NewCS with it as a parameter:
    [[email protected] root]# newcs /var/tuxbox/config/newcs2.xml
    In the previous example You have specified the configuration file You want to use.
    With your favorite text editor edit the configuration file to suit your needs. The serial ports on Linux are:
    /dev/ttyS0 = COM1
    /dev/ttyS1 = COM2
    etc.
    Find the first <device> tag:

    <device>
    <name>phoenix</name>
    <type>Phoenix</type>
    <node>/dev/ttyS0</node>
    <mhz>357</mhz> <!-- or 357 -->
    <parity>none</parity>
    <export>yes</export>
    <enabled>yes</enabled>
    <blocksa>yes</blocksa>
    <blockua>yes</blockua>
    <blockga>yes</blockga>
    <boxid>0000000000</boxid>
    <PTShandshake>Yes</PTShandshake> <!-- Set to yes(if wanted) for cryptoworks, Viacess and c
    <crypto-special>Yes</crypto-special>
    <carddetect>no</carddetect>
    <newcamd_port>10001</newcamd_port>
    <priority>round</priority> <!-- hard is default -->
    <sid>
    <allow>
    <!-- valid value for id are:
    4 numbers, if the service id is 3 numbers, add a 0 infront of it. -->
    <id></id>
    </allow>
    <deny>
    <!-- valid value for id are:
    4 numbers, if the service id is 3 numbers, add a 0 infront of it.
    <id></id>
    </deny>
    </sid>
    </device>

    <node> and <newcamd_port> is interesting for us. Specify the serial port (ttySx) on which You have an active cardreader hardware. Also, specify the debug port for the NewCS (starts its numbering from 10001).
    Add some users. Find a user tag:
    <user>
    <name>username1</name>
    <password>password1</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    Modify the <name> and <password> to fit your needs. You can have multiple <user> tags, of course.
    <user>
    <name>username2</name>
    <password>password2</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    <user>
    <name>username3</name>
    <password>password3</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    Kill the runninf NewCS process, and restart it using this newly created configuration file with its parameter:
    [[email protected] root]# newcs /var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml
    It will write out the card paramters and other infos. Now, You can connect to this server using NewCAMD, EvoCAMD, MGCAMD, WinCSC and other CAM emulators. Enjoy!

    Installing the server on a Windows system
    The Windows installation is similar to the unix version. Decompress the following files from the NewCS archive to some directory:
    newcs.exe
    mingwm10.dll
    pthreadGCE2.dll
    newcs.xml.dragon
    Rename the file
    newcs.xml.dragon to newcs.xml
    Edit the newcs.xml file. Edit <device> and <user> tags. Now, use COM1 and COM2 etc. instead of ttySx device names for serial ports.
    <device>
    <name>phoenix</name>
    <type>Phoenix</type>
    <node>COM1</node>
    <mhz>357</mhz> <!-- or 357 -->
    <parity>none</parity>
    <export>yes</export>
    <enabled>yes</enabled>
    <blocksa>yes</blocksa>
    <blockua>yes</blockua>
    <blockga>yes</blockga>
    <boxid>0000000000</boxid>
    <PTShandshake>Yes</PTShandshake> <!-- Set to yes(if wanted) for cryptoworks, Viacess and c
    <crypto-special>Yes</crypto-special>
    <carddetect>no</carddetect>
    <newcamd_port>10001</newcamd_port>
    <priority>round</priority> <!-- hard is default -->
    <sid>
    <allow>
    <!-- valid value for id are:
    4 numbers, if the service id is 3 numbers, add a 0 infront of it. -->
    <id></id>
    </allow>
    <deny>
    <!-- valid value for id are:
    4 numbers, if the service id is 3 numbers, add a 0 infront of it.
    <id></id>
    </deny>
    </sid>
    </device>

    <node> and <newcamd_port> is interesting for us. Specify the serial port (COMx) on which You have a cardreader hardware installed. Also, specify the debug port for the NewCS server (starts its numbering from 10001).
    Add some users. Find a user tag:
    <user>
    <name>username1</name>
    <password>password1</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    Modify the <name> and <password> to fit your needs. You can have multiple <user> tags, of course.
    <user>
    <name>username2</name>
    <password>password2</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    <user>
    <name>username3</name>
    <password>password3</password>
    <au>on</au>
    </user>
    Start the newcs.exe from the command prompt.
    C:\>newcs
    You can test the server connecting to it using NewCAMD, EvoCAMD, MGCAMD, WinCSC and other CAM emulators. Enjoy!

    Be Happy
