    Default Plobleme feeder ???

    Am o problema pt experti
    Am o antena primfocus 1.4 al veche de pe timpul TV-sat analog, ce a "ruginit", printr-un garaj ceva ani, pe ea era montat un lnb in banda C imens , l-am aruncat, dar am pastrat feederul , convins ca ar fi util pt noul meu LNB, mi-am cumparat un Invacom, am montat tot si surpriza , de si antena este de 1.4m Al am semnal la fel sau mai prost decat cu antena veche 1.1 fe offset, mai exact pe hotbird 13e pt tp de pe italieni am SNR 5.5-5.6 dB cu BER 0 (date afisate de ss2)
    ( stiu ca ss2 afisaza nivelul semanalului diferit functie de drivers, dar cu antena de 1.1 prindema si bbc prime, si pe cyfra+ aveam mai mult de 28%, iar pe cartoon net. nu-mi facea macroblocuri )

    Cum reglarea antenei zic ca am facut-o bine, am ajuns la urmatoare concluzie:
    -ori antena mea este defocalizata ( de la maltratarile de pe timpul "stocarii" )
    -ori feederul meu nu este bun pt banda Ku
    ... deci :
    Exista feedere speciale pt Ku si pt C , sau feederele mai vechi aveau o performanta scazuta ( cum posibil sunt doar o bucata de metal)
    Exista vre-o posibilitate de a detecta daca o antena este defocalizata si mai ales cum se poate afla zona focala

    Greseala e usor de gasit: feedhornul pentru banda C nu este bun pentru banda Ku! La antena ta prime focus ori folosesti un LNB cu flansa si feed corespunzator, ori mai bine folosesti un LNB normal si o antena offset.

    Si nu mai arunca lnb-uri de C! Eu nu am bani sa imi iau unul si tu...

    @Kroky:
    Merci, deci am un LNB cu flansa Invacom cu feederul de la LNB in C, o sa cumpar un nou feeder pt Ku si o sa-l montez . Exista diferente, feedere mai bune sau mai rele ?

    First introduced to the satellite communications industry in 1982, Seavey Engineering’s dual band antenna feeds are now the accepted standard. They simultaneously access all downlink signals from hybrid satellites.

    Dual band feeds operate over the standard frequencies of 3.7 - 4.2 GHz in C-band and 10.7 - 12.75 GHz in 500 MHz bandwidths. Both two-port and four-port versions are offered with a wide range of options.

    Seavey Engineering’s dual band feeds have been used on thousands of commercial and consumer TVRO antennas for many years attesting to the reliability and efficiency of the patented (see Note) design.
    Because of this success, mounting and interface adaptors are available for many reflector manufacturers’ standard products. Therefore, when ordering, please specify the reflector you plan to use.

    Basic feeds use a concentric circular waveguide at Ku-band and an overmoded coaxial waveguide operating at C-band. Models with two ports use the patented polarization rotation probe system found on other Seavey Engineering feeds. A single small motor rotates the plane of polarization to match the satellite.
