Default Problem on setting up BeSat eM Bx

Hi I have BeSat eM Bx and I'm having problems setting this up in our house I've alredy connect things out but the signal quality stays in 78% no matter where i point it:

I am sorry please take note that this is just my first time setting up sattelite.

    Questions are the ff:

    1. Do i have to point the dish to a very specific area
    2. Will there be a problem if i will start searching for channels with this signal quality
    3. Does it have to be in an open area?
    4. What are the do's and don'ts?

Thank you very much btw im from philippines

    Default SETTING UP METABOX

    KILOBYTES,

YES YOU HAVE TO POINT YOUR DISH TO SPECIFIC AREA, AZIMUTH 118.37 , DISH ELEVATION IS 56.5 , LNB TILT 58.37 OR GO TO www.satlex.de/calculator . ussualy the metabox always giving signal quality and streng in yellow color , if it is yellow color still it is bad signal when it becomes green it means it good signal.so even it gives 78% but yellow color still it is a bad signal.

go to this site for referrence: http://www.dream.com.ph/support/supp...l.asp?npage=14

also make sure that you are tuned to a specific transponder 12301H SR 25600 and adjust your lnb and dish according to the guides above. if you cannot find the agila2 list on your satellite data, just use ANY satellite and input the frequency manually. from what you see on your TV, select transponder and input the freqs as suggested.

Transponders to manually enter for Agila 2 Ku Band
You can enter these under an "unused" satellite if you dont have Agila 2 in your list.
Go to "add transponder", and enter these figures one by one.
You will be adding 6 transponders and each transponder requires the 3 entries listed below.

    12301 Hor 25600
    12541 Hor 25600
    12581 Hor 25600
    12661 Hor 25600
    12541 Ver 14000
    12500 Hor 30000

Also check under your lnb configuration.
Select standard lnb or universal , whatever you have.
Polarity of lnb should be set to auto or vertical or horizontal, whatever works for you. Mine is Vertical or auto.
Try and line up your dish, details given above.
Signal and Quality should go green when lined up with satellite.
Check your polarity of lnb if no green (took me almost a week to figure that one first time....duh)
After that go to "search" or "scan", choose the search all option.
You should get 69 tv channels and 14 radio.

you are almost there in shooting the bird. all you have to do is more patience. lnb position shld be bet 7-8 oclock...dish elevation should be bet 55-60 degrees... dish should be facing 120 deg east.. look if there is any obstructions..

unused0.0.e is a configured satellite. the one who set up your stb favorite sat is unused... like me hehehhee...

another thing the tp should be 12541 h 25600 ... get the highest signal of it so that all other tps have a good signal too.....

    @kevo,

consider yourself lucky if you got it on a week's time. when i was a newbie-wannabe-trying-hard, it took me almost a month of going up to the roof with the tv set, extension cords, STB and a bottle of water to shoot for Atlantic Bird3 here in kuwait, sometimes under the searing heat of the dessert sun (im not that good with brains and thinking at times). we all could charge it to experience though. once you get the hang of it, you'll be tuning dishes even with your eyes closed, lol.

    @kilobytes,

patience mate, you already have the essentials as posted above. all you need is a steady hand and a very patient mood. don't go up the roof when you know your favorite kilawin and lambanog are waiting downstairs with your closest friends. also try moving your dish a bit at a time since you must probably be using a 60-90cm dish only. good luck and do tell us here if there is cause for celebration, k? i just might sacrifice my pet dog "tagpi" to make pulutan, just in case.

If possible, try and set your tv up outside where you can see it from the roof. Will save you a lot of headache/sunburn.
The last time I installed a dish, I took a hint from someone here on he forum (maybe even Boknoy )
I took a small 5 inch lcd tv borrowed from a friend, together with my stb and set it all up on the roof with a long power extension to plug my box into.
The whole thing took less than 30 mins this way. A BIG improvement from the first time I did it. (Im still darker down one side of my body!)
A compass from national bookstore will also help you out in finding 120 degrees for the first time. Good luck.
