Does the dreambox draw internet data when in standby mode(showing clock)? I am currently having limited data internet package
has a secondary circuit, with a very small limited output, This is to allow the setting to be retained and the clock to operate. It won't allow a voltage at the LNB, or the software to be operational.
For any satellite receiver or anything else for that matter, to operate it's systems then it must be in operational mode with a fully working power supply. This is not possible without switching the thing on.
Unplug the thing from the wall and the channel information will remain in the software, but the clocks and any timer settings will be lost.
I run a couple of Beyonwiz hard drive recorders, these are connected to a computer modem for program up-dates, I can also program them for recording via the computer, or by dialing the modem, with a mobile phone, and entering the programming keys. My point is, none of this is possible in "stand-By " mode
