Default boknoy_phill need ur help for dvb channels at network

    dear friend,

iam using 2000 windows server with isa server, i installed prog dvb client/server module in server and in clients system.it works well at uni cast option and only one client can see the channels at my net work .
when two clients try to watch the channels it stops on other.
there r options in sever module.

    protocol ...unicast/broadcast/multicast

    multicast group ip......................

    port 10999

when at server and at client end uni cast option is used the channel works well at server and at client too, but only at one client.when 2nd client connects to it the 1st one screens goes blank.

dear what should be the options in server and in client modules that at the same time maximum clients can watch the channels by it.

hope u plz will explain it to me

    thanks

uni = one. multi = more than one. simple as that. the number of clients able to view depends on your bandwidth from the network.

You read the message when you selected multicast right - email the author or the commercial version.

To multicast across the LAN, WAN and wifi and we use http for this we use TSreader and VLC for the purpose.

You can set the bandwidth and all the codex you require in VLC (this is an open source, milti platform application - do a google on vlc and select the first option - it will stream any media i.e dvd, vdc, cd, tv, anything you put up as a stream etc)

We run anywhere up to about 200 clients on a typical 100mbits LAN and more of course on a 1gigbits LAN.

Consider buying the media plugin from progdvb or do the TSreader route.

Good luck - I simply love IPTV
