Frontier Silicon moves to ensure DAB+ success in Germany

Frontier Silicon Ltd, the market leading supplier of digital radio technology worldwide, has announced that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the four commercial radio broadcasters that will operate digital radio services on the new national German DAB+ multiplex. The LOI confirms that Frontier Silicon will enter into a four year advertising commitment with these broadcasters to ensure the successful launch of this exciting new radio service which will become operational in 2011.
The national DAB+ multiplex will carry public services from Deutschlandradio, as well as from several leading commercial broadcasters. When this network switches on in autumn 2011 it will provide the first nationwide commercial broadcast radio service in Germany for over 60 years.
