    Arianespace announced official launch window for Ariane 5 V196 with Nilesat 201 and Rascom-QAF1R satellites.

    GMT (Universal Time Center): 4 August 20:45-23:34
    France: 4/5 August 22:45-01:34
    French Guiana: 4 August 17:45-20:34
    Egypt: 4/5 August 23:45-02:34
    Mauritius: 5 August 00:45-03:34

    Launch can be watched live via http://www.videocorner.tv/index.htm

    Please note that webcast starts 20 minutes before launch.

    Both satellites are now in GEO and testing before being operational.

    Nilesat 201 is at 10.2 degrees West.
    Rascom 1R is at 14 degrees East.

    Good morning all,

    Nilesat 201 is finally in its orbital position @ 6.96 W



    Just a bit of satellite maneuvers on LONGITUDE position.

    Nilesat 101, 102 are also changing orbital position with nilesat 101 gearing up to say bye bye to the Nilesat family.

    Nilesat 201 active as per Kingosat website. http://es.kingofsat.net/sat-nilesat201.php Havent yet tested the bird but anyone out there, please test the bird and report back on signal strength
