    Good morning,

India will be cover by the Central Asia Ku-Band Central-ASIA Beam as shown in the image below.

The frequencies allocated to this beam will be between 11.7 to 12.50 GHz which will be allocated to Pan-Arab, Maghreb and Central Asia footprint.

In recent past week the hasnt been entirely clear as to which satellite orbital position will be working Badr 5. Badr 5 was delivered with a plan to strengthen the position of 26°E. A few days ago, but the site Arabsat information emerged that Badr 5 will operate under a new name Arabsat 5B new orbital position 34.5 degrees east and becomes the basis for the newly built position operator.

Currently, a total of 9 active transponders have been reported as per flysat website http://www.flysat.com/badr5.php

    Freq 10.730 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 DVB-S TEST
    Freq 10.730 GHz, pol. H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 DVB-S TEST
Freq 11.240 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 DVB-S, mux Fujeirah Media
    Freq 11.280 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S, mux JMC
Freq 11.318 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S, du mux (including Dubai Sports HD)
    Freq 11.355 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S, mux JMC
Freq 11.395 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4, DVB-S, mux Al Dawr (including Al Kass HD)
Freq 11.432 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 in DVB-S, mux JMC
Freq 11.471 GHz, pol. V, SR 27500, FEC 3/4 in DVB-S, mux IRIB

In UAE and ISRAEL no frequency has yet been received offically so most likely the satellite is still on test mode.

    Smile Thanks

Thanks for the info. Good one for start DXing. But It's very hard to get signal for me. I am highly interested in DXing. But suffering from lack of H/W for reception.
