    Default db dead?

hi guy's, i am trying to sort out a problem db family, when switching on db nothing happens , only black screen, box or remote not responding,
so i flash erased the db with dream up( rs232) , flashed new gemini image,( also tryed other images) according to dream up flash succesfull, but box still black, same.
tryed to get connection with dcc tru lan cable, unable to get in the box , always says dreambox login failed , telnet login incorrect, has to do with login , &password , normally root&dreambox ( the originals haven"t being changed), so how to fix this when unable to get into the box, or is it a goner?
    thanks for any answer.....

You never told us what model DM and whether genuine or not.
    Could be the powersupply.

bad blocks in memory. you can try to flash serial a erase.img. a couple of times though.
use also the db500 dreamup out of 2004, and flash then after cleaning procedere the first image release out of 2008. not rev 1.09...

never understand why still ihad images are flashed on copy boxes!
