Default Bye bye thaicom 5 and truevisions ??

    From http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/...-defend-itself

Firm prepared to shut down if contract invalid

Thaicom Plc, the satellite unit of Shin Corp, says it is ready to quit the business if the government rules the company violated the law and wants to seek other companies to replace it.

But the country's sole satellite service provider is confident it did nothing wrong and was in full compliance with state regulations.

It is also ready to comply with all conditions set by the government on the terms of contract if there is a fair and comprehensive solution, said chief executive Arak Chonlatanon.

It is the companies that make too much money that close down when they project stiff competition or hardships ahead, and this is usually done to keep the assets intact, and start another company - loosing nothing, while the associates lose quite a sum.

The Thread heading is wrong and completely false information

If you read the articale all contracts will remain as they are and bangkok post is also known for also feeding wrong information . But even there thread heading does not conflict like the thread start here no mention of truevision only politics scandles .

So no need to feed members with false information

Truevison will remain in service and for a very long time

    Default True not rich

I thought true was losing money as they overcharge and have a very low penetration in the Thai market... And it wouldn't surprise me if they still had alot of debt banging around from the acquisition of UTV(cable company) all those years ago.

I just wish true's sports offering would get better.

Looked at the heading again but I see a question mark, meaning the poster is not sure either, so you could be right abt your suggestions.

That depends on who you speak to. I have many Thai clients who I stream to that do not watch DSTV Multichoice Africa at all they only care about the Thai channels and Premier League.
