Fox brings Fuel TV to Europe

US-based television operator Fox Cable Networks has made its sports and lifestyle channel Fuel TV available to digital platform operators in Europe. Germany is the first international market entered by the channel with Eutelsat’s direct-to-cable platform KabelKiosk offering Fuel TV to its local distribution partners.
The new addition forms part of KabelKiosk’s FamilyXL package which now numbers 34 channels. Subscribers can receive the service at no additional charge.
With action sports such as skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding and freestyle motocross, Fuel TV targets a young audience. The channel launched in July 2003 in the USA where it now reaches more than 30 million households. Platform operators in Europe can access the signal through Eutelsat’s Eurobird 9A satellite at 9° East which is used by KabelKiosk for its cable head-end feeds.
