Am vazut pe cineva care vindea unul acum ceva timp si costa in jur de 500 E. Dar importator in romania nu stiu sa existe.

I am a tremendous fan of open source. I use Linux extensively and I beleive that the group effort involved brings about superior solutions.

The GNU project looks nice, but the hardware, as far as I have been able to determine, is hideously expensive to fabricate. I am hoping the HPSDR project takes this issue into consideration. I see one potential of SDR as making the entry point into hardware building accessible to the average geek, as it was until the the late 1970's. This is what intrigues me about the project at..

A SDR(software defined radio) is a radio communication system where components that have typically been implemented in hardware (e.g. mixers, filters, amplifiers, modulators/demodulators, detectors, etc.) are instead implemented using software on a personal computer or embedded computing devices. While the concept of SDR is not new, the rapidly evolving capabilities of digital electronics are making practical many processes that were once only theoretically possible.
Software radios have significant utility for the military and cell phone services, both of which must serve a wide variety of changing radio protocols in real time.
