I just want to make it clear if you can manually enter keys on Humax? i think you have to do the updates via pc or funcards (kinda messy). but for features, Humax has a lot of it and more support too, compared to other STBs in general. Humax is not for beginners, rather i'd say it is for intermediate users, or medium level hobbyists. the hardcore hobbyists are hugging the linux based DSR's like Dreambox, Triple Dragon, etc.
Thank u cableguy323, baba4u and boknoy_ph.
Actually iam not beiggener , you can say half proffisional , but regarding the dreambox ? itis working only when i subscribe (legal ) or it hade menu key ? and is there is any number ? like dreambox 6000 or .... etc ?
and any body know the price in UAE ?
thank you again .
regards.

DEAR SIMPLE ANSWER
HUMAX IS A BEST RECEIVER,COMPARED TO OTHERS.
i am PROUD TO BE THE OWNER OF HUMAX 5400Z. U HAVE IT FIRST THEN YOU WILL FILL IT. IT WILL BE 100 TIMES WORTH IT BUYING THIS RECIEVERS BUT I HEARD THAT 5400Z PRODUCTION IS CLOSED CAN ANY ONE FROM DUBAI CONFIRM IT NEW MODEL IS COMING 5400+...... :(

Humax 5400z is very hard to come by nowadays here in kuwait. as for dreambox, i think you will be contented with DreamBox 7020s, although the price is rather high, averaging around 700$US. another alternative for you to consider, without the pains of headache caused by Linux on Dreambox is to use pc dvb devices.

m8,
one reliable korean national have told me that the product line been sold to other firm, its no longer the original one! but the model 5400z & 5400 is widely supported by hacking community so it still survived despite changes in encryptions systems. the same fate that of Nokia, only because software provided by third party (hacking community) that the 9XXX still can be of used for clearing encoded channels.
the new firm got contract from orbit but it seems orbit stop supplying it to their subscribers instead with other brand.

Spoken like a man who knows nothing at ALL about the hummy!
Why update codes by hand??
Download the Humax Toolkit
Upgrade the hummy firmware to the latest ToH with EMU
Burn a Fun2 or Fun4 for the Hummy and chuck on your fav. 6in1 on it
Make sure you can connect yout hummy to a PC and the internet and you have realtime upgrades straight from the net (no manual key codes)
I use it on all the networks on the C & Ku Bnads in Asia and the 5400z are a ripper of a box. A bit old but hey look at all the goodies it has.
You will get an old one second hand for about $20..
