i really think this board needs a major overhaul on how things are being organized. for one thing, almost everybody are posting their own topics. why not make categories for such topics like the sticky we did for the cam and dvb stuff? that way, the mod can properly forward the question to the specific forum board. there are lots of instances that questions are left unanswered due to the fact that a lot of other posts will be put forward, and the unanswered topic will be relegated to the succeeding pages. whereas, if we have a category-based kind of forum, we can keep track of all the questions and we can post in a specific manner all our questions and troubles. one more thing, if we have the category-based board, then we can filter out the nuisance posts like self advertisement and/or the mods can manually delete the posts.

limiting the ability to post a website hyperlink is a step but a weak one. more vigilance and active monitoring on the part of the mods and admistrators is a must for a well managed board to perform in an outstanding manner.

I fully support the proposal by boknoy_ph to have categories. As it is now, if a topic is posted and if it is not replied say within the first few hours, it will move out from the front page, and the chances are that no one will ever see it or bother to dive deep.

Why there are no categories now could be due the fact that RDI - English is sub forum within the main RDI Forum.

There are many Pakistani members who are supplying free of charge, new and updated Satellite softwares to many members to all forums.

But ,once u start charging a fee, it is business in any language.

What if a member,
starts charging a enterance fees to his website,who wants to download a new software or updated software.

indeed, they upload the updated software to their own site, advertise the site here on the premise that they can do business later on when the user gets to know how to contact him/her.

Posting updated softwares is not banned per se, but i think the admins and mods draws the line when they see a business deal coming through. Besides, this forum has advertising boards/banners for a fee, why don't they use that?

yeah, thanks for the reply. i scoured all of kuwait for the thing im looking for and i cannot find any shop selling it (they even don't know what a CAS interface is!). I heard that in Bahrain, it is available or in Dubai, but i won't travel by car just to get a Cas Interface, lol.
