Die DreamBox 8000 S HD soll irgendwann im Jahre 2006 oder vielleicht auch erst 2007 auf den Markt kommen.

Hier mal alle bisher bekannten Fakten:
Sie ist HDTV fähig durch 2 DVB-S2 Tuner.
2 CI Slots
2 interne Kartenleser ( Dreamcrypt / Firecrypt )
2 DVB-S2 Tuner (also Twintuner) + 2 weitere Tunersteckplatze (für DVB-S, DVB-T oder DVB-C)
100 MBit Lan Anschluss
3 x USB 2.0 <-- !!
Linux Betriebssystem
zum ersten mal mit USB2.0 Anschluss
Hardware MPEG2, MPEG4/H.264 & WM9 (HDTV compliant)
300Mhz MIPS CPU
andere Quellen sprechen von einer 733 MHz CPU
eventuell mit zusätzlichen DVD Player oder DVD Brenner.

Wenn man nun berücksichtig, wie lange es dauerte, bis die Dreambox 7025 endlich erhältlich war, dann wird die Dreambox 8000 nicht vor Ende 2006 / Anfang 2007 erhältlich sein.

Das Gerät soll ab November 2006 im Handel erhältlich sein. <-- !!

Intradevar tentatzia e mare dar deocamdata tehnologia este la inceput si normal sa fie scumpa.
Un exempu ciudat ar fi aparitzia cu intirziere de luni bune a placilor DVB-s2 hdtv cu decodare software , care cel putin teoreti nu necesita o investitzie prea mare pentru scoaterea pe piatza si totusi ceva le da cu "virgula"...
Oare ce..???
Astept cu nerabdare aparitia placilor DVB-S2 cu decodare HARDWARE . :P

Lasa ca peste 2-3 ani o sa ajunga de 3 ori mai ieftina :lol: ....dar pana atunci....

Astept cu nerabdare aparitia placilor DVB-S2 cu decodare HARDWARE .

si eu la fel :wink: ....dar tare mi-e frica ca si astea or sa aiba un pret prohibitiv pt utilizatorul mediu din RO :cry:

Pararea mea este ca pretul de 945 EUR este acoperitor pentru comerciant. Atat timp cat receiverul nu este inca lansat oficial, pretul nu poate fi luat in considerare. Eu nu-l vad totusi peste 800 EUR asa cum deja s-a vehiculat, dar mai avem putin si o sa vedem ce zice piata.

Si totusi, 3 porturi USB 2.0? Nu stiu la ce le poti folosi pe toate trei.

Dream, the leading supplier Linux-based set
top boxes, presents on this year's international radio exhibit in Berlin
a revolution in the consumer electronics: the HDTV-Receiver DM 8000.

Like all Dreamboxen the DM 8000 on the operating system Linux also are
based what lends a maximum to flexibility and achievement
circumference to the box. In the new design with the curved front and the
big OLED display the DM 8000 are the eye-cacher on the IFA.

Can polish the latest Dreambox with two DVB-S2 tuners (MPEG-4) which
can be extended by other two tuners for cable, satellite or DVB T.
With a total of four CI shafts, three USB interfaces as well as DVI-
(to 1080i) and YUV connection leaves open the DM 8000 of no wishes in
the home cinema.

Also recordings are possible with the HDTV-Dreambox of course.
It can be equipped with customary hard disks (SATA-Support).
Above the Ethernet interface (100 MBit full duplex) the data reach in
maximum speed the calculator. Faster it goes with the optional DVD
writer who can be likewise inserted in the DM 8000. Besides, can be
equipped the Dreambox optionally with 100 MBit WiFi-interface.

Promises the DM 8000 big cinema, Dream with the DM 600 of PVR goes to
the other extreme. Thanks to the optional 2.5-inch hard disk it concerns
with this compact Receiver the smallest Linux PVR box of the world.

Dream speaker Tim Ziemann: whether largely or small, Dream shows the
...ure of the digital television at the IFA. We are glad about the visitors
to whom we present with pleasure our new Dreamboxen.

Dream invites all interested fair visitors rather warmly in the state 215 in
hall 1.1 to throw a look in the digital TV ...ure. Beside the DM 8000 and
the DM 600 of PVR Dream also presents the new set top to boxing of the
7000th series.

Mi-ai dat emotii, credeam ca l-au lansat, dar e tot o precomanda cu livrare ... nu se stie cand! Oricum, nu cred ca se va inghesui lumea de la inceput, intai se va astepta ceva sapaturi in soft ...

Da, pretul e interesant, dar receiverul nu este inca lansat! Dai banu' acum dar nu stii cand primesti receiverul!?! Prima data fusese anuntata lansarea pentru august 2006, apoi pentru septembrie-octombrie si inca nimic. E destul de riscant sa dai 600 EUR pe un model complet nou, pe care nu l-a vazut inca nimeni si oricum seriile zero au mai tot timpul probleme. Eu zic sa nu ne inflamam inca, stai sa-l vedem in magazin si sa asteptam primele impresii de la utilizatori.
